Thank you Lou and the band. We had a fantastic time and earned enough money expenses paid for Lakeport Fairgrounds event on June 14th. WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!!!What a great cause and what a great community to come out with so much support. THANK YOU FROM LOWER LAKE FEED

Electrical Disaster

Just thought i'd let ya all know we had a heck of time with the Austin Park Gig the electrical power they supplied ud had a faulty ground and it played havick with us all day. We did manage to pull off some good tunes with Andi playing on fiddle but the faulty ground took turns cutting each of us out when ever it felt like it. But guaranteed we won't have any problems at all this weekend at the Lake County Rodeo Dance. One of the most fun gigs we do each year. Make sure you check us out. We are still breaking in a new sax player and Charwin and Michael are putting down the beats very well. Hope to see you all out there, it will for sure be a SELL OUT crowd Sat. Nite July 12 lake County fairgrounds. Music has no borders!! Peace!!

Lakeport Summer Concert

It was just a blast, waiting for the sun to drop so everyone could sit in the shade. It was 100 by 4:00 at sound check. We tossed down as many cold beers and Ice cold waters we could before we went on for the show. Thanks to all the sponsors that made it possible for the fine folks of Lake County to enjoy a high proformance show that was almost ready to begin.
At 6:25 the radio folks from Bi-Coastal media took the stage thanked the soposores and introduces us. WE were ready , remenents from the night before still rang in our head. Working Man Blues was the kick off tune, great song for all the working people and a good song to do a final sound check on. We played our first set flawlessly and went 2 minutes over our 50 min. set. The crowd was Large. It was a lot of fun getting that first set out of the way, the nerves were totally calmed and i got go out into the crows and shake a few hands and welcome people i didn't even know along with folks I did know. My friend Bob was there selling t-shirts and Lucky enough my CD order showed up Fed-Ex so I had 100 fresh Cd's that were ready for sale. We gave a few away during the show. The DJ gave us a great Introduction before the 2nd set. He told the crowd that I had won the LA Music award for Singer/songwriter of the year and told the story of moving to lake County in the early 80's and how we performed at the very first Concert in the Park. It was pretty cool. We went right up for the next set and i realized that the weather had took a toll on my guitar strings, I was flat by almost a 1/2 tone, So I faked the first tune "The Fireman" I quickly retuned my guitar while Paul talked to the crows for a moment then it was kick off time again. We loosened up a bit for the second set. The sound sorta sucks in that Gazeebo due to the roof being over the top of us, the sound seems to swirl around and around but we learned to live with it. We finished up and even played over a few songs the crowd was dancing and so we kept playing. Finally we had to stop . The show went well according to the 2000 people in attendance. I signed a dozen Cd's for fans and future fans and we got the equipment loaded up and we are ready to go to lake County fairgrounds tonight for the WRBRA dance tonight 8:30-11:30. The Band was cool

WE drove 3 hours almost to the minute and arrived in Eureka, We found out that it was only going to be 65 outside. I was thinking that's oerfect for me. I sweat so bad when I am playing music, Any ways the other guys were cols. WE set up with the ocean in the background. I showed up in shorts but while at the motel which was 7 miles away I cahnged into my black wranglers and boots and figured this would be a fun gig , nice and cool. Actually I wore a t-shirt and vest also. The weather in Eureka is usually foggy and real dreary. They said on the radio that was pumping us for the lest 2 weeks that we brought the sunshine to them from lake County. It wasa funny we had done an interview before we went on stage with Pete the DJ and we were on the radio station band bus with all the organic foods they give us so we don't have to play on an empty stomach. Well anyways it was a cool gig. WE has Paul on the keyboards and John Rizzo on drums Randy on guitar me and special guest Kenny Dean on bass guitar. Talk about an allstar band. We pulled the show off with out a hitch (almost) 3rd song into the show the drum mic had fell over and made a crash sound through the PA and the Sound guys are new so they were standing around like Duh! abyways I signaled one of the guys to fix this and they did, that was the only sound problem. We kicked the show with Workin Man Blues a great Haggard tune to warm up on and ended the show with my original How Long. It was a show stopper and very fun gig. I chickened out onperformiong Santa Fe. But we will do it on Friday's concert. The show went great the guys all had fun the radio station told us the'd hope to see us next year. They left us a goodie bag to take home, by the way i better get it out of the Expedition and get it into the fridge. HeY I hope to see everyone at Lakeport tonight. WE start at 6:30pm sound check is at 5:00pm I just got my order of CD's in today so I will have CD's for sale tonight for a special price....BLOG ME/////Lou
